Founding Engineer:
Youll be one of the first 3 engineers, owning core infrastructure that powers AI agents handling millions in healthcare revenue.
What youll do:
- Core Infrastructure: Build backend systems orchestrating AI agents, healthcare data workflows, and clinic integrations.
- Production Systems: Design scalable Python services with 99.9%+ uptime for revenue-critical ops.
- Agent Orchestration: Implement workflow systems (Temporal, agentic frameworks) to coordinate voice agents, browser agents, and data pipelines.
- Healthcare Integrations: Build secure APIs and EHR/insurance integrations with compliance in mind.
- Data Pipelines: Architect systems for claims processing, billing logic, and revenue optimization at scale.
The Technical Challenge
Youll take ownership of zero-to-one AI agent infrastructure:
- Production-ready AI agents orchestrated through Temporal and agentic frameworks.
- Revenue-critical systems with every bug costing real money.
- Architecting for HIPAA compliance and audits.
- Full-stack ownership: backend (Python), workflows, browser/voice agents, frontend (JS), AWS infra (Terraform).
- Scaling from dozens to thousands of clinics.
Requirements
- 25 years building production systems solving real-world problems.
- Strong engineering fundamentals (distributed systems, databases, cloud infra).
- Experience with Python, AWS, workflow orchestration.
- At least one indie project with AI/automation.
- Early-stage startup or founding experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable with regulated industries (healthcare/fintech-level).
Bonus: Familiarity with Temporal, agentic AI frameworks, healthcare tech.
