We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Chennai, India. This entry-level position is ideal for freshers looking to start their career in IT support. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to our users, ensuring their desktop systems and applications run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues related to desktop systems and applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, printers, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Assist in the setup and deployment of new desktop systems and software installations.
• Maintain an inventory of desktop hardware and software assets.
• Document support requests and resolutions in a ticketing system for future reference.
• Train users on new software and hardware functionalities as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and desktop applications.
• Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting methods.
• Knowledge of network connectivity issues and basic networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with users effectively.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other IT staff.
• Certification in relevant technical fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) is a plus.
