We are urgently hiring a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience in a desktop support role who is looking to grow their career in IT.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for desktop hardware and software issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to Windows operating systems and applications.
Assist in the setup and configuration of new desktops and laptops.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage software licensing.
Provide support for peripheral devices including printers, scanners, and projectors.
Document all support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement improvements and enhancements.

Skills and Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in desktop support or technical support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
Experience with Active Directory and user account management.
Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
