HIH - IT Project Management Senior Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of projects with an emphasis on large-scale IT and application development initiatives.
• Apply Agile methodologies to drive iterative development, foster collaboration, and deliver incremental business value.
• Facilitate clear communication and coordination across matrixed teams and stakeholders.
• Quickly gain understanding of Cigna's systems, applications, and business models to guide project alignment with strategic goals.
• Interpret and communicate complex analytical and modeling outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide timely and accurate project status reports to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, project governance standards, and organizational controls.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive resolution of issues across project workstreams.
• Foster a collaborative and accountable project culture focused on delivery and quality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of IT and business/industry experience, with 3+ years of project management experience leading mid- to large-scale initiatives.
• Proven track record in successfully delivering complex, multi-team projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale initiatives with significant IT or application development components.
• Practical experience with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skillsable to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to lead within a matrix organization and build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Experience managing vendor or offshore development resources is a plus.
• PMP or Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster) preferred.

Technical & Methodological Proficiency

• Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
• SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet)
• Familiarity with data analytics and model development concepts
