Role Overview
A client of Insight Global is looking for Help Desk support to oversee a large‑scale laptop rollout and device onboarding initiative. The engagement includes 5–6 week period where you will be fully focused on deploying laptops to end users, followed by ongoing onboarding and basic support activities for the remainder of the 3 month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mass laptop deployment across multiple locations
- Execute zero‑touch deployments for Windows and Mac devices
- Follow predefined instructions for:
- Which user receives which device
- Device setup and configuration
- Participate in an assembly‑line style deployment process
- Assist users as they come onsite in scheduled rollout waves to receive laptops
- Perform device onboarding and setup following deployment
- Provide basic triage support for users after laptops are taken home
- Support asset management processes, including tracking and documentation
- Escalate issues to higher‑level help desk support when needed
Deployment Structure
- Laptop rollout planned over approximately a 5 week period
- Users will be grouped into deployment waves
- Initial 4–6 weeks are hands‑on and deployment‑heavy
- Remaining time will include onboarding, triage, and additional support tasks as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- 1–2 years of Help Desk or IT Support experience
- Familiarity with:
- MDM systems
- Zero‑touch deployment
- Device management
- Asset management processes
- Experience supporting Windows and Mac devices
- Comfortable working in a fully onsite environment
- Able to follow detailed instructions and repeat standardized processes
This position pays $3.0/hr
