Role Summary
The Head Mistress Pre-Primary is responsible for the academic leadership, administration, and overall development of the pre-primary section. The role ensures a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment aligned with early childhood education principles.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
Plan, implement, and monitor the pre-primary curriculum (Nursery, LKG, UKG).
Ensure age-appropriate, play-based, and activity-oriented teaching methodologies.
Guide and mentor teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and child development practices.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
Administration & Operations
Manage day-to-day functioning of the pre-primary section.
Prepare academic calendars, timetables, and activity schedules.
Maintain student records, attendance, assessments, and reports.
Ensure compliance with school policies, safety norms, and regulatory requirements.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate pre-primary teachers and support staff.
Organize professional development programs and training sessions.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and child-centric work culture.
Parent & Community Relations
Build strong relationships with parents through meetings, orientations, and counseling.
Address parent concerns related to academics, behavior, and development.
Organize events, celebrations, and workshops for parents and students.
Student Welfare & Development
Ensure the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of children.
Identify special learning or developmental needs and coordinate support.
Promote values, social skills, and positive behavior in students.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education (B.Ed / M.Ed) or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE / NTT).
Minimum 58 years of teaching experience in pre-primary, with 23 years in a leadership role preferred.
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and pedagogy.
