Job Summary

The National Logistics Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing all logistics operations and activities across the country. This role entails developing and implementing logistics strategies, managing logistics personnel, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes, and optimizing the supply chain for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement national logistics strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop logistics plans and policies to support the company's growth and expansion.

Operations Management

  • Oversee all logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve service levels.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the national logistics team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Develop training programs to enhance the skills of the logistics personnel.

Vendor And Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers, warehouse operators, and other logistics partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with logistics service providers.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure service quality.

Budget And Cost Control

  • Develop and manage the logistics budget.
  • Monitor and control logistics expenses to stay within budget.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Performance Monitoring And Reporting

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on logistics performance and areas for improvement.

Technology And Innovation

  • Leverage logistics technology and systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Implement new technologies and innovations to enhance logistics processes.

  • hard negotiation skills , pan India transport management capability FTL / PTL , cost conscious, good analytical skills , proficient in excel , team management. Good in Marathi / Hindi / English . Bhiwandi and pan India travel should be comfortable. Experience in B2B preferably . Should have managed over 2000 daily material movement (inward n outward) , tech savvy to know applications that can integrate with sap for last mile delivery tracking

Develop and optimize daily routes for delivery drivers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries, Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and customer service teams to coordinate and adjust routes as needed,Use routing software to input, manage, and analyze route data.Identify and address issues such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, and last-minute delivery changes.Ensure all routes comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.Generate and analyze reports on delivery performance, route efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
