Responsibilities:
Treasury Strategy & Liquidity Management:
- Design, implement, and oversee treasury strategies to ensure optimal liquidity for business requirements and buffer for stress events.
- Deliver lower cost of funds while achieving maximum net interest margin and minimizing market risk exposure.
- Develop hedging strategies to manage interest rate risk.
- Actively manage liquidity to optimize fund usage and generate trading income through bonds and equities.
Funding & Capital Management:
- Define strategies for optimum mix of borrowing between money market and banks to ensure structural liquidity and cost optimization.
- Develop alternative funding channels like external commercial borrowings and retail bonds.
- Plan total borrowings by maintaining an optimal mix of core and supplementary capital.
Stakeholder Management & Representation:
- Represent the organization to Institutional Investors (Mutual Funds, Insurance, etc.), Banks, Rating Agencies, Auditors, and Regulators.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategize internal engagement via Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), Investment Committee, and business heads for pricing and other issues.
Compliance & Policy Management:
- Set up policies and processes compliant with RBI/SEBI guidelines.
- Evaluate complex financial systems and implement methods, procedures, and records efficiently.
- Participate in ALCO and Investment Committee meetings and report to the board for approval on investment guidelines.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Ensure timely mobilization of funds and alignment of tier II capital with business needs.
- Monitor and manage the balance sheet and overall financial position.
