Role: Head – Solution Development- Digital & Sustainability
Role Purpose
The role leads Solution Development and Portfolio Enablement for Sustainability
Solutions and Software in India. It is a strategic, non-customer‑facing senior role
responsible for shaping, localizing, and scaling complex digital and engineering‑led
solutions that drive:
- Energy efficiency and decarbonisation
- Smart building operations
- Digital transformation of building infrastructure
The role owns solution strategy, technical depth, CXO engagement, team leadership,
innovation, and global product alignment, acting as the bridge between global
platforms and India market needs.
Portfolio Scope:
Primary Portfolios:
- Energy optimisation & decarbonisation
- HVAC retrofit design for building system efficiency
- Energy monitoring, analytics, and audits
- Operational sustainability (beyond ESG reporting)
- Digital Twin for buildings
- Building operations & performance optimisation
- Cross‑domain digital use‑cases
- IOT & connected buildings
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Development & Architecture own end‑to‑end solution development across
Sustainability and Building X portfolios
- Localize global offerings for India‑specific regulations, energy behaviour, and ROI
expectations
- Define Reference architectures, Deployment models, Standardised solution bundles
by vertical, ensure solutions are scalable, outcome‑driven, and differentiable
- Solution Leadership (Engineering‑Led) Understand HVAC design, cooling & heating
loads, plant efficiency, and part‑load behaviour. Identify energy optimisation
opportunities through Control strategies, setpoint optimisation, equipment sequencing,
digital optimisation vs physical retrofit decisions
- Lead and translate energy audits into, actionable digital and engineering solutions
productised sustainability offerings
- Team Leadership & capability Building build and lead a solution development team
solution architects, domain Specialists, demo & portfolio enablement resources.
- Define team structure, KPIs, and skill development plans
- Coach the team on Advanced solutioning.Ensure sustained pre‑sales readiness for
large, complex pursuits
- Personally lead CXO‑level demos, workshops, and solution deep dives
- Translate complex engineering and digital concepts into Business KPIs (ROI,
payback, IRR),Sustainability outcomes (energy & CO₂ reduction)
- Portfolio Sales Enablement act as portfolio owner for Sustainability & Building X
from a sales enablement perspective.
- Develop and govern Value propositions Industry‑specific use‑cases.
- Work closely with Sales to,Shape opportunities early,Structure complex solution
deals,Differentiate vs competition
- Serve as the India interface to global product management teams
- Provide structured feedback on Market needs and customer maturity Feature gaps
and integration requirements Pricing and packaging challenges
- Influence product roadmaps and pilots Drive adoption of new global releases in the
Indian market
- Innovation & New Solution Incubation Identify and incubate new solution
opportunities, including Advanced HVAC and energy optimisation use‑cases
Cross‑portfolio integrations (Building X + Energy + Sustainability) Third‑party or startup
solution integrations.
- Support pilots, validation, and GTM of new offerings Promote a culture of continuous
innovation and experimentation
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales & Account Management
Digital Services & Execution Partners & Ecosystem teams
Vertical & Strategy leaders.
- Ensure seamless transition from pre‑sales → delivery.Balance customer value,
delivery feasibility, and standardisation

Qualifications & Experience
Engineering background (Mechanical / Electrical / Energy preferred)
Post‑graduate or MBA preferred
Candidate Profile :
10–15+ years experience in:
Smart Buildings, HVAC, BMS, Energy Management, Sustainability, or Digital Platforms
Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or equivalent is a strong advantage
Proven experience in:
Team leadership
CXO‑level customer engagement
Global product collaboration
