Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement of Raw Materials, APIs, Bulk Drugs, and Excipients
- Develop and manage domestic and international vendor partnerships, including MOUs, annual rate contracts, and long-term agreements (LTAs)
- Design and implement long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- Oversee vendor qualification in coordination with QA, ensuring compliance with GMP and global regulatory standards
- Conduct strategic negotiations using market intelligence, demand forecasting, and volume insights
- Drive organization-wide cost optimization initiatives, including alternative sourcing, value engineering, and supply chain redesign
- Manage demand planning, production-linked procurement scheduling, and S&OP alignment
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials with robust planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation strategies
- Lead continuous improvement projects across procurement and supply chain processes to enhance service levels and reduce costs
- Ensure adherence to GMP, GDP, FDA, EMA, ICH, and other regulatory guidelines in all sourcing activities
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Corporate Leadership on business strategy, new projects, and capacity planning
- Develop comprehensive supply risk assessments, addressing geopolitical issues, market volatility, single-source dependencies, and regulatory disruptions
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or Supply Chain Management
- 1525 years of procurement experience in formulation manufacturing, with at least 35 years in senior leadership role (AGM/GM level or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of global sourcing, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and technical aspects of formulation manufacturing
- Proven experience in domestic and international vendor development for Raw Materials, APIs, Bulk Drugs, and Excipients
