- Project Leadership & Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of strategic, complex, and multi-disciplinary projects
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource plans
- Ensure adherence to delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Monitor risks, dependencies, and change requests with proactive mitigation
- Ensure customer/stakeholder satisfaction and high delivery quality
- Establish and track project KPIs, dashboards, and governance mechanisms
- Define and enforce technical standards, architecture principles, and best practices
- Guide technology selection aligned with business and scalability needs
- Review design, architecture, and critical technical decisions
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, performant, and maintainable
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and retrospectives
- Assess current technical skill levels across teams
- Define competency frameworks, skill matrices, and role-based capabilities
- Drive training, certifications, mentoring, and upskilling initiatives
- Build Centers of Excellence (CoE) for key technologies where required
- Promote innovation, automation, and adoption of emerging technologies
- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, and Engineering teams
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, QA, DevOps, and Support teams
- Act as escalation point for delivery and technical issues
- Communicate project status and risks to senior leadership clearly
- Define and improve project execution processes and delivery models
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, CMMI, internal QA frameworks)
- Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and performance monitoring
- Conduct periodic audits of project and technical health
- Strong understanding of software/system architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of modern development stacks (web, backend, mobile, APIs)
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, microservices, and scalability patterns
- Understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy principles
- Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models
- Tools: JIRA, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Confluence, etc.
- Risk, scope, cost, and resource management
- Vendor and third-party coordination
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to influence without authority
- Coaching and mentoring mindset
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certifications (preferred)
- 1218+ years of experience in engineering/project leadership roles
