Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a monthly business plan for optimal production and meeting customer orders.
  • Planning, sourcing, tracking and monitoring of contractor's job for both in-house and outside vendors.
  • Managing all contractors in terms of job distribution, rate revisions and monthly bills.
  • Develop a plan of action for Scheduling the shop orders to meet delivery commitments and to ensure optimum utilization of plant machines capacity.
  • Enable manufacturing by developing master plan/production schedules to establish sequence and lead time of each product to meet shipping dates.
  • Facilitate the production team in accurately forecasting production details and lead time so that the sales team can further do better demand planning.
  • Ensure all plants are monitored in terms of performance actual vs. planned and report exceptional deviations to the concerned authorities for the corrective action.
  • Evaluate production statistics and their impact to the production schedule. Reports major variances from plan to appropriate management personnel along with a course correction action plan for managing issues as they arise.
  • Ensure latest production techniques best suited for the industry are adopted to achieve cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Develop a plan for Inventory management which includes liquidation plans for higher ageing inventory.
  • Develop a plan and build systems along with key stakeholders which help in optimising capacity utilization, cost of production and productivity enhancement
  • Determine equipment, materials and staff needs to meet the production schedule.
  • Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production requirements.
  • Oversee reports relating to process, product and operation on-time performance. Advises management when on-time order delivery is in jeopardy.
  • Work closely with peers and superiors to develop the maturity of the production planning systems in support of business goals and a continuous improvement initiative.
  • Keep abreast with the latest production techniques by participating in cost reductions and productivity improvement programs.
  • Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities
  • Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly
  • Review schedules for internal and inter-departmental production dispatch plans
  • Review schedules with Sales & Marketing function to review order compliance
  • Oversee the coordination process followed for logistics

Qualification:

● B Tech (Mechanical/ Production)

● Post Graduate in Operations Management/Production Planning (Preferred)

Experience:

● 15-18 Years
