Distinct from the accelerator approach, our venture studio is closely involved in idea generation, day-to-day operations, and strategic decisions of growing the new business. Companies incubated in the last 24 months include Elevate Now, Nivaan Care, Reveal Healthtech , BabyMD and Everhope Oncology.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement & Contracting
- Lead all national procurement operations with leading pharmaceutical and diagnostic partners
- Negotiate commercial contracts ensuring optimal pricing, credit terms, and service levels
- Develop long-term vendor partnerships aligned with the startup's mission and growth plans
Supply Chain Design & Optimization
- Build a scalable, compliant, and tech-enabled supply chain to serve a distributed clinic network
- Ensure reliable forecasting, demand planning, and timely replenishment across geographies
- Implement systems for end-to-end visibility from manufacturer to clinic fulfillment
Financial & Working Capital Management
- Monitor and optimize working capital cycles through efficient payment, credit, and inventory management
- Collaborate with finance to forecast procurement budgets and align cash flow with business growth
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, procurement policies, and statutory requirements
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Manage day-to-day relationships with pharmaceutical companies, distribution network partners, and logistics providers
- Establish SLAs and governance mechanisms to track vendor performance and reliability
- Work cross-functionally with operations and product teams to align supply timelines with clinic demand
Process Improvement & Technology Integration
- Introduce automation and digital tools for procurement tracking, vendor evaluation, and performance analytics
- Continuously improve sourcing efficiency, lead times, and cost management through data-driven insights
Leadership & Governance
- Build and lead a national procurement and logistics team with clear accountability structures
- Foster a culture of transparency, integrity, and continuous improvement across all supply chain functions
- Represent the startup with external partners and ensure ethical and compliant business practices
Requirements
Requirements:
- 10-12 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or commercial operations within healthcare and pharmaceuticals
- Strong track record of managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations with national and regional pharmaceutical companies
- Experience overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, including contracting, logistics, warehousing, and demand forecasting
- Prior experience managing working capital cycles, credit terms, and distribution efficiency at scale
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance aspects of pharmaceutical distribution in India
Skill Set
- Deep commercial acumen with the ability to optimize cost, service levels, and working capital simultaneously
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with experience handling complex multi-party partnerships (manufacturers, C&F agents, distributors)
- Analytical approach to supply chain optimization through data, forecasting, and technology tools
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement platforms; experience in implementing digital procurement or automation tools preferred
