Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned 3PL / Contract Logistics Leader to drive business growth, strategic direction, and operational excellence across the organization.

This role will own strategy, solution design, sales, operations governance, and P&L, ensuring scalable and profitable growth of the 3PL business.

1. Strategy & Business Planning

  • Define and drive the overall 3PL business strategy and growth roadmap
  • Identify new opportunities across industries, geographies, and service offerings
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for warehousing and integrated logistics solutions
  • Drive network expansion (warehouses, distribution models)
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and evolving customer needs

2. Sales & Business Development

  • Own and drive revenue growth and new business acquisition
  • Build and manage enterprise client relationships and key accounts
  • Lead RFQs, tenders, and large deal closures
  • Define pricing strategies and commercial models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized logistics solutions
  • Drive account expansion and long-term partnerships

3. Solution Design & Engineering

  • Design end-to-end supply chain solutions:
  • Warehouse layout & capacity planning
  • Inventory flow & distribution models
  • Integrated 3PL solutions (warehouse + transport coordination)
  • Work with operations and transport teams to ensure feasible, scalable solutions
  • Lead costing, optimization, and value engineering initiatives
  • Support pre-sales with innovative and competitive solution proposals

4. Operations Oversight (Governance Level)

  • Oversee performance of warehouse and logistics operations teams
  • Ensure SLA/KPI adherence (OTIF, inventory accuracy, TAT, service quality)
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process standardization
  • Review transport performance via internal teams (without direct ownership)
  • Manage customer escalations and service reviews

5. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop Sales, Solutioning, and Operations leadership teams
  • Build a high-performance, customer-centric culture
  • Set clear targets, monitor performance, and drive accountability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Transport, Finance, HR)

6. P&L & Performance Management

  • Own complete P&L for 3PL business
  • Drive profitability, cost optimization, and margin improvement
  • Track key metrics:
  • Revenue growth
  • Gross margin
  • Client acquisition & retention
  • Operational efficiency

Experience & Qualifications

  • 12–18+ years in 3PL / Contract Logistics / Supply Chain
  • Proven experience in strategy + sales + operations leadership roles
  • Strong track record in large deal closures and solution selling
  • Experience managing multi-location, multi-client operations
  • MBA preferred
