The Opportunity: As an HR professional with 20 years in the industry, I've seen how the art of the deal has evolved. In the luxury event space, sponsorship isn't just about a logo on a backdrop; it's about strategic brand synergy. We are seeking a Sponsorship Sales Generation Manager who is a Closer at heart. You will lead a team of specialists already proficient in high-volume, high-value tele-sales, and your role will be to refine their strategy while personally securing anchor sponsors for our flagship shows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Revenue Growth: Design and execute a robust sponsorship roadmap to meet and exceed annual revenue targets for the India Designer Show and its associated Award ceremonies.
- Lead the On-Call Sales Engine: Manage and mentor a team of sales executives who specialize in awards and sponsorship generation via phone. You will be responsible for refining their scripts, improving conversion rates, and ensuring a high-quality pipeline.
- High-Value Acquisitions: Personally identify and pitch to C-Suite executives and Brand Managers of Tier-1 luxury, corporate, and lifestyle brands to secure Title and Powered By sponsorships.
- Award Sales Strategy: Oversee the commercialization of our industry awards, ensuring high participation and category sponsorships through a mix of outbound calling and strategic networking.
- Proposal Innovation: Create sophisticated, ROI-centric sponsorship decks and customized brand integration proposals that stand out in a competitive market.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of fashion and luxury trends to identify untapped sponsorship categories (e.g., Tech, Fintech, or EV brands entering the luxury space).
- Relationship Management: Ensure 100% fulfillment of sponsor deliverables during the event to guarantee long-term retention and renewals.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven Track Record: At least 6 years of experience in Sales/Business Development within the Events, Media, or Fashion sectors. Specific experience in Sponsorship or Award Sales is a non-negotiable.
- Leadership Presence: Experience in managing a sales team and the ability to motivate them to hit high-volume daily call and conversion targets.
- Exceptional Communicator: You must be as persuasive over a 5-minute phone call as you are in a 60-minute boardroom presentation.
- The Luxury Mindset: An understanding of the aesthetic and commercial requirements of premium brands.
- Data-Driven: Proficiency in CRM tools to track the team's performance, pipeline health, and revenue forecasting.
