Job Description

Role: Head of VLSI Sales

Required Technical Skill Set

  • IC Design services Sales expertise
  • Strong connections in Tier 1 semiconductor companies e.g. AMD, Qualcomm, Micron
  • Ability to own and drive sales and revenue growth targets

Desired Experience Range: 18+ Years

Location of Requirement: Bangalore or Hyderabad

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must Have

  1. Ability to engage with customer R&D leaders and influence business opportunities.
  2. Build strong customer relationships and possess influential skills to drive business growth
  3. Work within organization delivery/ resourcing/ CoE teams and external partner ecosystem to staff and ramp-up VLSI team based on customer needs
  4. Understanding of Silicon Engineering Value Chain (Frontend, Backend, Post Silicon) and VLSI design fundamentals (ASIC/SoC, FPGA, digital/analog design, Package Design)
  5. Familiarity with tools and design flows (e.g., RTL to GDSII, DFT, STA, CAD flow & methodologies)
  6. Familiarity with Silicon Engineering languages and methodologies (e.g., Verilog, UVM methodology)
  7. Ability to groom and drive a sales team

Good-to-Have

  1. Hands-on experience in Silicon Engineering (VLSI design, Verification and validation)
  2. Create and leverage VLSI partner ecosystem for expanding offerings and talent
  3. Stay updated on semiconductor industry trends and competitor activities to refine the sales approach accordingly and gain customer mindshare.
  4. IC Design Services Strategy, Business Plans and roadmap.
  5. Guide Business development manager/ sales manager
  6. SoW and MSA reviews

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

  1. Expand existing client relationships and identify new IC Design Services growth opportunities
  2. Identify and establish new logos in IC Design Services
  3. Deliver against sales targets
  4. Collaborate with Presales and Technical teams to develop compelling customer propositions
  5. Ability to engage confidently at senior levels within customer organisations
  6. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive lead generation and networking
  7. Work with Hiring, Resourcing, Delivery teams and partner ecosystem to meet requirements
  8. Utilise industry trends and competitive insights to enhance sales strategies and provide input to offering owners.
  9. Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills
  10. Excellent communication and analytical skills
