Role Purpose:
The candidate will serve as the primary face of the company to customers and markets, leading commercial strategy, customer engagement, and revenue growth for the Engineering Plastics business. The role will drive B2B sales, channel development, and customer-led product innovation across PC Compounds, PC Resin, ABS, PMMA, Nylon-6, and other engineering plastics, serving automotive, electrical & electronics, appliances, construction, lighting, and industrial segments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Customer Representation
Act as the senior-most commercial representative and face of the company for key customers, OEM leadership, industry bodies, and strategic partners.
Define and execute the overall Sales & Marketing strategy aligned with long-term growth, profitability, and market leadership.
Drive market entry, portfolio expansion, and export growth strategies.
Sales, Channels & Revenue Growth
Own topline growth, market share, and contribution margins across all product lines.
Identify, onboard, and develop channel partners, distributors, and sales partners across domestic and international markets.
Build and manage a robust distribution ecosystem including regional distributors, application partners, and value-added resellers.
Lead key account management for large OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and strategic customers.
Drive pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and long-term volume commitments.
Product Development & R&D Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and application development teams to translate customer needs into new product development.
Champion customer-driven innovation, including specialty grades, customized compounds, and application-specific solutions.
Lead customer trials, validations, and commercialization of new products.
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to guide R&D and capital investment decisions.
Marketing & Brand Building
Build and strengthen the company's B2B brand presence in engineering plastics.
Oversee product marketing, technical marketing, trade shows, exhibitions, customer seminars, and digital initiatives.
Monitor competitor activity, substitute materials, pricing trends, and emerging technologies.
Customer & Industry Engagement
Develop deep customer relationships through regular reviews, joint development programs, and solution-based selling.
Represent the organization at industry forums, exhibitions, conferences, and customer events.
Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships.
Team Leadership & Governance
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing sales, marketing, product management, and channel management teams.
Establish strong sales governance, CRM discipline, forecasting accuracy, and performance dashboards.
Collaborate with finance on budgeting, demand planning, and profitability improvement.

EBITDA contribution and pricing realization
Number and performance of channel & distribution partners

Candidate Profile:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Polymer Science / Chemistry
MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Marketing or Strategy preferred
Experience:
20+ years of experience in Sales & Marketing within engineering plastics, polymers, chemicals, or advanced materials
Proven experience as a customer-facing leader managing key OEM relationships
Strong track record in building and scaling distributor and channel partner networks
Hands-on experience working with R&D and application teams on new product development
Demonstrated P&L ownership and strategic market development capability
