Role Description
The Head Quality Assurance will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring quality standards across all construction projects. The role ensures adherence to design specifications, regulatory requirements, and organizational quality benchmarks while driving a culture of continuous improvement, process standardization and technical excellence
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the organization's Quality Assurance policy, systems, and procedures in alignment with ISO 900: 2015 and other industry standards as well as Navin's Quality framework.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the QA/QC team across multiple project sites.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), governance structures and audit mechanisms for continuous quality monitoring.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all construction materials, workmanship, and processes meet approved drawings, specifications, and statutory codes.
- Review and approve quality control documentation including Inspection & test Plans (ITPs),
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards - analyze root cause to implement corrective and preventive measures
- Oversee material testing, third-party inspections, and documentation as per regulatory and company requirements.
Process Improvement & Standardization
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.
- Standardize QA/QC checklists, formats, and reporting systems across all projects.
- Drive root cause analysis for recurring defects and implement preventive strategies.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with the Design team, Project Managers, Site Execution team, and Procurement teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of construction.
- Act as the primary liaison on quality matters with consultants, clients, and statutory authorities for technical and quality-related approvals.
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on quality standards and best practices.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality plans, test results, audits, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Prepare and present periodic quality reports to management, highlighting key issues and improvement measures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's / master's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
- Certifications in Quality Management are an added advantage.
- Minimum 1520 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in large-scale residential or commercial construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems, BIS / IS codes and modern QA / QC methodologies.
Key Skills and additional information:
- Experience in large-scale civil infrastructure or real estate projects with strong knowledge of material testing standards, auditing practices, and site quality control procedures.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication, reporting and analytical skills

- Preference will be given to professionals with prior experience in German or Japanese construction environments, quality systems, or organizational cultures, subject to applicable work authorization and statutory requirements in India.
