Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Production located in Bengaluru. The Head of Production will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process, including planning, monitoring, and ensuring efficient operations. The role involves coordinating with various departments, optimizing production schedules, managing budgets, and leading the production team to meet quality and production targets effectively.

Key Roles & Responsibilities.

oPrepare production plans style-wise, job worker-wise, and delivery-wise

oAllocate work to job workers based on capacity, skill, and timelines

oTrack daily / weekly production status and ensure on-time completion

oMonitor cutting, stitching, finishing, washing , and packing schedules

oIdentify, onboard, and manage multiple job workers

oIssue materials (fabric, trims, accessories) to job workers with proper documentation

oFollow up regularly with job workers to avoid delays

oHandle rate negotiations, efficiency issues, and capacity planning

oEnsure quality standards are followed at all stages of job work

oConduct in-process and final quality checks

oReduce rejections, alterations, and rework

oCoordinate corrective actions with job workers for quality issues

oCoordinate with stores and procurement teams for timely material availability

oEnsure proper fabric issue, consumption tracking, and wastage control

oMonitor production costs, job work charges, and productivity

oControl excess wastage, rework costs, and delays

oSupport management in style costing and production feasibility

oEnsure finished goods are received, checked, and handed over to dispatch on time

oCoordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely dispatch

oEnsure orders are completed as per buyer PO, size ratio, and color ratio

oPrepare and submit Daily production reports ,Job worker status reports , Delay and bottleneck reports , Quality and rejection summaries

oMaintain accurate production MIS for management review

oEnsure job workers follow company standards and timelines

oMaintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews

oEnforce discipline, accountability, and transparency in production flow

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,

oStrong knowledge of garment production through job work

oExcellent coordination, follow-up, and negotiation skills Ability to handle multiple styles and job workers simultaneously

oStrong understanding of fabric, trims, stitching processes, and finishing Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure

oGood communication with job workers, vendors, and internal teams

oAbility to manage all the departmentheads working in operations

oStrong knowledge on making organizational reports

Qualifications

oDiploma in Textile Technology / Garment Technology / Fashion Technology / Industrial Engineering..

oMinimum 10+ years of relevant experience in apparel production.

oMandatory exposure to outsourced production and job work operations.

oRequired 3to 4 years of experience as Factory Head / Senior Production Role preferred.

oMust have experience in buying house or liaison office.
