Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team responsible for power converter development.
- Own the full product lifecycle: architecture, simulation, design, prototyping, verification, and validation.
- Guide the specification, modeling, and design of complex power electronics systems.
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, project timelines, and quality standards.
- Lead PCB layout and mechanical design collaboration, ensuring design integrity and manufacturability.
- Build and manage relationships with third-party design vendors and test infrastructure partners.
- Define and implement a technology roadmap aligned with the company's R&D and market growth goals.
- Drive recruitment and talent development, building a high-performing, technically excellent team.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test plans.
- Work cross-functionally with product management, supply chain, and manufacturing for seamless product launches.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering (BSEE or equivalent).
- Master's or PhD in Power Electronics is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in power electronics R&D, with 7+ years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of power semiconductor devices: Thyristors, Si-IGBTs, SiC-MOSFETs.
- Expertise in gate driver design, bridge rectifier design, and multi-level converter topologies.
- Proven ability to design and optimize converters to reduce harmonics and improve efficiency.
- Experience in EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal management, and high-voltage isolation.
- Hands-on experience in hardware debugging, test bench setups, and system validation.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional communication skills.
