Job Description

The Role

As Head of Operations & Strategy, you will be the execution engine and strategic co-pilot of owning the daily ops that keep the business running while shaping the big-picture decisions that drive growth. You will work hand-in-hand with the founders to build a scalable, profitable, and market-leading D2C brand.

What You Will Own

Operations — Supply Chain & Fulfilment

  • Own end-to-end supply chain from manufacturer to customer doorstep
  • Manage demand forecasting, inventory planning, and stock availability across D2C and Amazon
  • Own 3PL partnerships, warehouse operations, and last-mile fulfilment
  • Manage Amazon Seller Central — FBA, FBF, account health, and listings
  • Drive cost-per-order reduction while improving delivery speed and reliability

Operations — Vendor & Procurement

  • Lead vendor negotiations for manufacturing, packaging, and logistics
  • Build a resilient, multi-vendor supply base to reduce dependency and risk
  • Ensure quality standards, certifications (BPA-free, food-grade), and compliance

Strategy & Growth

  • Partner with founders on annual planning, business priorities, and growth roadmap
  • Identify new channel opportunities — marketplaces, quick commerce, offline, international
  • Lead category expansion — new products, new customer segments, new geographies
  • Build business cases, financial models, and GTM plans for strategic bets
  • Track competitive landscape and translate insights into action

P&L & Financial Oversight

  • Own the operations and business P&L — COGS, logistics, fulfilment, and overheads
  • Build monthly MIS, dashboards, and reporting for founders and investors
  • Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives across functions

Team & Process Building

  • Build and lead a lean, high-performing team as the company scales
  • Create SOPs, playbooks, and systems that scale 10x without breaking
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, finance, and customer experience

Who We Are Looking For

  • 8–12 years of experience in operations with a strong strategic mindset
  • Background in quick commerce, D2C, consulting, or high-growth startups
  • Proven P&L ownership — you've managed costs, margins, and business outcomes
  • Hands-on with Amazon/marketplace ops, 3PL management, and D2C fulfilment
  • Data-driven — comfortable with Excel/Sheets, dashboards, and operational metrics
  • Bias for execution — you don't just make decks, you make things happen
  • High ownership mindset — someone who treats business as their own

Bonus Points

  • Experience at a kids product, FMCG, or consumer goods D2C brand
  • Prior founder's office or CXO office experience at a startup
  • MBA from a premier institute (IIM, ISB, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Shopify, WMS tools, or logistics tech platforms
