Sidhakala Group of Industries, founded in 1997, specializes in manufacturing press components, press tooling, and welded assemblies for the automotive and engineering sectors. The company operates two manufacturing units: Sidhakala Engineers (Bhosari Plant) and Sidhakala Industries (Chakan Plant).
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- 12 to 18 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing, press shop, welded assemblies, or automotive component manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handling production and operations leadership roles
- Strong hands-on experience in production planning, shop floor management, manpower handling, quality coordination, and dispatch operations
- Practical exposure to press shop, welding, tooling, fabrication, and assembly operations
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, TPM, and continual improvement systems
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 systems
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage production targets effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complete plant operations including production, planning, maintenance, quality coordination, dispatch, and manpower management
- Ensure daily production targets, delivery schedules, quality requirements, and productivity goals are achieved
- Drive shop-floor discipline, process improvements, and operational efficiency across departments
- Coordinate with production planning, tooling, maintenance, quality, and purchase teams to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor machine utilization, rejection levels, downtime, and overall production efficiency
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and resources
- Handle production-related issues, customer priorities, and emergency situations effectively
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, ISO/IATF systems, and internal process requirements
- Support new development activities, line setup, production readiness, and process stabilization
- Conduct regular reviews with departmental teams and drive accountability across operations
- Develop and strengthen operational systems to support current and future business growth
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Candidates with strong shop-floor and manufacturing experience will be preferred
- Prior experience in automotive sheet metal component manufacturing is highly desirable
- Hands-on operational leadership experience is mandatory
