Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead strategic execution and operational excellence across large-scale event projects. The role involves driving operational efficiency, managing cross-functional coordination, and ensuring high-quality delivery across national and regional projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and deep expertise in event production, vendor management, and agency operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operational Leadership

  • Oversee the end-to-end operations lifecycle including manpower planning, vendor management, execution, and post-event analysis.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective project delivery across multiple locations and business verticals.

Financial Commercial Oversight

  • Manage project-wise PL responsibilities , budget forecasting, and vendor negotiations.
  • Ensure adherence to board-approved margins and maintain financial discipline across operations.
  • Optimize cost-to-deliver ratios while maintaining high service standards.

Vendor Network Ecosystem Management

  • Build and strengthen a pan-India vendor ecosystem across production, technical services, printing, hospitality, and compliance vendors.
  • Develop strategic vendor partnerships to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Team Building Capability Development

  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across production, technical operations, and permissions management.
  • Develop a strong talent pipeline through structured hiring, training, and performance coaching.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Drive seamless coordination between operations, client servicing, finance, and creative teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and contractual deliverables.

Process, Compliance SOP Governance

  • Establish and implement SOPs, MIS reporting, checklists, and forecasting tools to improve operational consistency and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and project governance protocols.

Client Experience Management

  • Manage client escalations and ensure exceptional on-ground execution.
  • Uphold the companys reputation for delivery excellence through proactive problem-solving and execution strategies.

Required Qualifications Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in event operations, production, or project delivery within the events or marketing industry.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects, budgets, vendor negotiations, and cross-regional teams .
  • Exposure to B2B / corporate experiential marketing projects is highly preferred.

Required Skills Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with deep knowledge of cost structures and margins .
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills .
  • Ability to adapt to changing project dynamics and manage high-pressure environments .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools .
  • Ability to lead from the front during high-intensity event execution cycles .
