Job Title: Head of Operations

Organization: Allvest

Location: Kurla, Mumbai

Experience Required: 10+ Years (Wealth Management / Broking / Financial Services

Preferred)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Head of Operations to lead and

manage end-to-end operational functions including KYC, DP operations, fund

settlement, trade settlement, security settlement, and billing operations.

The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operational processes, regulatory compliance, and

strong coordination between internal teams, Compliance & Risk teams, and external

stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations of:

o KYC Team

o DP Operations Team

o Fund Settlement Team

o Trade Settlement Team

o Security Settlement Team

o Billing Team

• Ensure all operational activities are completed within defined timelines.

• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

2. KYC & Compliance Operations

• Monitor onboarding and KYC processes for new clients.

• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements (SEBI / Exchanges /

Depositories).

• Manage audit readiness and documentation processes.

• Coordinate with compliance and risk teams when required.

3. DP & Settlement Operations

• Supervise DP operations including account opening, modifications, and closures.

• Oversee:

o Fund settlements

o Trade settlements

o Security settlements

• Ensure smooth coordination with exchanges, custodians, and depositories.

• Liaise closely with the Compliance and Risk teams to ensure operational

processes are aligned with regulatory and risk frameworks.

• Handle operational escalations and resolve issues promptly.

4. Billing & Operational Controls

• Oversee billing processes for clients and partners.

• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

• Monitor reconciliation processes and operational risk controls.

• Identify gaps in processes and implement corrective actions.

5. Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and manage multiple operations teams.

• Define KPIs and performance metrics for each team.

• Improve team productivity and reduce operational errors.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with:

o Wealth Managers / Relationship Managers

o Compliance Team

o Finance Team

o Technology Team

• Act as the single point of contact for operational escalations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in operations within Wealth Management / Stock Broking /

Financial Services

• Strong understanding of:

o KYC processes

o DP operations

o Fund & trade settlements

o Security settlements

o Billing & reconciliations

• Knowledge of SEBI regulations and operational compliance

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability

Preferred Profile

• Experience in handling large operational teams

• Prior experience in a senior / leadership role

• Ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency

• Strong communication and coordination skills
