Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished leader to drive the company's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) agenda, with a strong focus on buy-side transactions in the IT services industry. This role requires building a high-quality M&A pipeline, managing relationships with investment bankers and advisors, and executing transactions end-to-end from evaluation and negotiation to integration and synergy realization.
As part of the leadership team, the Head of M&A will work closely with the CEO, CFO/COO and senior stakeholders to shape the company's inorganic growth strategy and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- M&A Strategy & Pipeline Development
- Build and manage a pipeline of potential acquisitions aligned with corporate priorities.
- Develop and sustain relationships with investment bankers, private equity, advisors, and strategic partners to source opportunities.
- Transaction Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of M&A deals, with emphasis on buy-side.
- Manage financial due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, and negotiations.
- Review Term Sheets, Definitive Agreements, and other transaction documentation to identify risks and optimize terms.
- Integration & Value Realization
- Partner with finance, tax, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless post-merger integration.
- Define and track synergy KPIs; monitor and report progress to leadership.
- Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare board-level business cases, deal models, and presentations.
- Ensure transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and governance standards.
- Work closely with CEO, CFO/COO and leadership to align M&A execution with corporate goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1520 years of progressive experience in M&A, corporate finance, or investment banking, with exposure to both buy-side and sell-side, and a strong preference for buy-side transactions.
- Proven track record of executing at least a couple of closed buy-side deals.
- Prior exposure to IT services industry is highly desirable.
- Chartered Accountant / CFA / MBA Finance preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional deal teams and engaging with CxO/board-level stakeholders.
