Head of Marketing (Director – Marketing) (B2B SaaS | GTM, Category & Scale)

Meritto is a category leader in AI-powered Vertical SaaS for the education sector - a 500+ member organization built over the last eight years with strong financial discipline, deep cultural intent, and a long-term view on customers and outcomes.

Marketing has historically been a founder-led, high-impact function, closely aligned with leadership. Despite a lean structure, we have built a strong GTM motion, community-led growth engine, and category positioning in the market.

As we enter the next phase of growth - with multiple product lines and international expansion - we are looking for a leader who has operated across the full spectrum of B2B SaaS marketing: from product narrative and positioning, to scaling community and owned platforms, to thought leadership and enterprise GTM.

This role will define how the company is understood, demanded, and scaled in the market. The Director – Marketing will own the market narrative, GTM architecture, and pipeline quality, ensuring marketing operates as a predictable growth engine aligned to revenue outcomes. Working closely with Product, Sales, and Leadership, the mandate is to drive clarity (ICP and positioning), consistency (integrated GTM), and scale (pipeline and ecosystem) across India and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & GTM Leadership

  • Lead an integrated end-to-end GTM system across Product Marketing, Brand, Growth, and Demand
  • Define and scale company-wide marketing strategy aligned to business and revenue goals
  • Sharpen ICP, segmentation, and market prioritization across India and international 

2. Category & Brand Leadership

  • Shape how the market understands the problem and the solution, positioning the company as a category leader through influence, credibility, and ecosystem building
  • Build and scale company-owned community and CXO platforms into strategic assets
  • Drive thought leadership and market narrative

3. Scalable Demand & Growth Engine

  • Build a predictable, high-quality pipeline engine (not volume-led)
  • Institutionalize ABM and enterprise GTM motions
  • Scale content, insights, and inbound engines into durable growth levers

4. Organization & Capability Building

  • Build and lead a multi-pillar marketing organization (PMM, Brand, Growth, Demand)
  • Establish clear ownership, accountability, and performance culture
  • Evolve marketing into a high-performance organization that scales through capability, not coordination.
  • Build a disciplined marketing operating system:
  • Pipeline contribution
  • Conversion and funnel efficiency
  • ROI and cost discipline
  • Leverage AI and automation to improve productivity and scale

  • Predictable, high-quality pipeline with strong conversion

Ideal Profile

  • 10+ years in B2B SaaS marketing - with at least 3 years owning GTM strategy and pipeline accountability as a function head.
  • Has run or scaled community/event programs as a strategic channel - not just logistics.
  • Comfortable operating across the full stack: narrative and whitepapers, paid and organic, ABM and events.
  • Proven experience in scaling marketing at growth-stage companies
  • Strong exposure to GTM strategy, category building, and revenue ownership
