DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Content Studio
LOCATION: Mumbai
BurdaLuxury is seeking an experienced head of marketing to oversee marketing, brand strategy, and events across its brands in the portfolio, Travel + Leisure India & South Asia and Lifestyle Asia India. This role will work closely with local editorial and sales teams and BurdaLuxury's Content Studio, along with other cross-functional partners to drive commercial projects and advertising revenue by ideating, building, and executing high-impact marketing campaigns and events. This role will also work on the organisation and production of a number of large-scale signature event projects, brand-led partnership events, and consumer event initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about travel, luxury, and media, with a strong understanding of the nuances of the Indian market and the audiences of each brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Execution
- Translate regional marketing strategy into a market-specific plan that supports brand, audience, and revenue goals
- Lead the execution of integrated campaigns across print, digital, social, and experiential channels
- Manage market-level marketing calendar in coordination with editorial, sales, and events teams
- Ensure alignment with regional branding, pricing, and creative frameworks
- Work collaboratively with editorial, sales, social media, and Content Studio teams to develop strong brand guidelines for both brands, with a distinct look and feel and tone of voice
Brand Partnerships & Campaign Delivery
- Work closely with the Content Studio to identify creative opportunities for new marketing concepts, branding development, and events
- Develop a thorough understanding of Travel + Leisure India & South Asia and Lifestyle Asia India to help articulate the brand's GTM proposition in terms of products, initiatives, and events
- Work closely with sales and editorial to develop and conceptualise ideas that generate sponsorship opportunities
- Develop local marketing proposals and oversee end-to-end campaign delivery
- Track ROI and report outcomes to regional leadership
Events & Experiential Marketing
- Oversee planning and execution of flagship events (LSA 50, Travel + Leisure Delicious Dining Awards, Travel + Leisure India's Best Awards)
- Ensure event concepts align with regional creative direction and deliver against sponsor commitments
- Manage event production budgets and vendor relationships
Marketing Operations
- Collaborate with regional team to oversee digital and physical distribution with support from local admin executive
- Use regional project management tools (Monday.com) to track marketing, creative, and event timelines
- Work cross-functionally with the Regional Content Studio for creative assets, campaign templates, and reporting
- Build a strong database of consumers and target segments to strengthen our guest lists at signature events
- Build a freelancer pool who can support on guest invitation events
- Support the commercial team in pitching key initiatives
- Deliver projects to clear revenue and cost targets
People Leadership
- Manage the India marketing team (2 executives)
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
- Support the regional rollout of new processes (e.g., project management system, pricing framework, creative asset library)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field
- 7+ years of events and marketing experience
- Strong communication skills, knowing how to take understand and translate complex ideas to various teams
- Strong creativity and ability to think commercially
- Ability to lead collaboratively within a matrix environment
- Passion for making work that stands out and makes a difference for our audience
- Graphic design ability and strong aesthetic sensibilities are a plus
