Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Legal Head to lead the legal function across our operations in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate must have a strong track record of handling complex court litigation, corporate legal affairs, Judiciary Liaising and providing high-level strategic legal counsel to senior management.
The Legal Head will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risk, and supporting the company's strategic initiatives through sound legal advice.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Represent the company in various courts and tribunals or manage external legal counsel for the same.
- Handle high-stakes litigation, civil, criminal, and commercial suits.
- Develop legal strategies for dispute resolution and settlement where necessary.
Corporate Legal Affairs
- Oversee corporate governance and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance under Companies Act, SEBI, and other applicable laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, MoUs, NDAs, vendor contracts, and other legal documents.
- Advise on M&A, joint ventures, investments, and other strategic corporate transactions.
- Liaise with government departments, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure in the implementation of key legal processes that relate to Legal drafting, negotiations, commercial settlement agreements & ability to draft & manage complex patents.
- Ensure to have good skills in the legal negotiation such as mergers & acquisitions, tender bidding, and contract acquisitions.

- Handling of all Court cases including preparations of case drafts, coordination and Briefing / discussion with the lawyers for legal cases and make arrangements required for Arbitration proceedings.
- Drafting and vetting of MOA, MOU, Bank guarantee, Indemnity Bonds if any, Undertakings and authority letters, vendor contracts, etc & co-ordination with the panel of lawyers to ensure documents are legally sound.
- Support the leasing/projects/Marketing/ Finance & Accounts/ center Operation teams by providing expert advice on legal and regulatory matters related to the project.
- Ensures compliance of all legal documents with relevant legal framework & Be update with all the changes in the Government Policy / legislative business.
Strategic Legal Advisory
- Act as a key advisor to the leadership team on all legal matters affecting the business.
- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in key business decisions to align legal strategies with company goals.
Team Leadership
- Build and manage a high-performing in-house legal team across multiple locations.
- Set legal department KPIs, ensure continuous development, and maintain high standards of legal compliance and ethics.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Qualification: LLB / LLM from a reputed institution.
- Experience: Minimum 18 to 20 years in legal roles with a blend of litigation experience and corporate law exposure, ideally with time spent in leadership roles and who has worked with advocates, law firms and external legal consultants.
- Location Preference: Candidates must have prior exposure to the Ahmedabad market and should be willing to operate out of Ahmedabad as required.
