About the Role

We are looking for a Head of IoT Product Engineering to lead the development of our next-generation connected hardware products from concept to large-scale manufacturing. This role is suited to a hands-on product and technology leader who thrives in building end-to-end systems that integrate hardware design, embedded software, and cloud applications.

As the technical owner of the product stack, you'll architect and oversee all stages of product development from component selection and prototype validation to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and production readiness. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Vendors, and Manufacturing Partners to bring innovative, reliable, and scalable IoT solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development across hardware, embedded, and connected application layers.
• Drive system architecture definition and technology stack selection (MCUs, sensors, connectivity, IoT protocols, etc.).
• Manage hardware design and validation, including PCB design reviews, component selection, and reliability testing.
• Oversee firmware and embedded development, ensuring performance, scalability, and compatibility with application layers.
• Establish DFM, DFT, and quality processes, working with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure production readiness.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate product specs into engineering documentation and validation plans.
• Own prototyping, pre-compliance testing, and mass production ramp-up.
• Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team including hardware engineers, embedded developers, and system integrators.

Requirements

• 812 years of experience in IoT hardware and systems design, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or cross-functional engineering role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in PCB design, component engineering, power systems, and communication protocols (BLE, LoRa, Wi-Fi, NB-IoT, etc.).
• Proven experience building end-to-end connected products from prototype to production.
• Familiarity with embedded OS, firmware development, and cloud connectivity (MQTT, RESTful APIs, OTA updates).
• Experience in DFM, supply chain/vendor management, and product industrialization.
• Bonus: Experience with sensor interfaces, low-power designs, and certifications (CE, FCC, etc.).
• Excellent cross-functional communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
