We are hiring a strategic, hands-on, multi-disciplinary Head of Technology to lead Embedded Systems, Avionics, Software, Electronics, and UAV Engineering for defence-grade unmanned systems.
The ideal leader will have a strong blend of
Embedded Firmware + Electronics Hardware
Avionics + UAV Flight Systems
Software Architecture (C/C++, RTOS, mission software)
Project Management (PMP or Scrum Master preferred)
Multi-disciplinary Team Leadership
This role drives end-to-end defence program execution, including Electronic Warfare Resilience, Secure Communication, Flight Control, Autonomous Navigation, and Full System Integration.
1. Technology Strategy & Defence Program Leadership- Own technology roadmap for defence UAVs, avionics, embedded systems, and mission software.
- Lead concept-to-deployment execution for defence projects.
- Define SWaP-optimized architecture for all subsystems.
2. Embedded Systems & Firmware Engineering- Oversee development of bare-metal and RTOS firmware, safety-critical software, and secure embedded architectures.
- Guide teams working on:
- Flight controllers
- Navigation systems
- Sensor fusion algorithms
- Communication modules
3. Electronics & PCB Hardware Engineering- Direct teams responsible for:
- Military-grade PCB design
- High-speed digital electronics
- Power electronics, EMI/EMC compliance
- Hardware qualification and testing
4. Software Architecture & Mission Software- Lead architecture for:
- Mission planning software
- GCS (Ground Control Systems)
- Flight autonomy software
- Secure communication stacks (LPI/LPD)
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, version control, and secure coding is a plus.
5. Mechanical, Structures & System Integration- Provide oversight and guidance for:
- Airframe integration
- Structural analysis
- Component placement & weight balancing
- Lead full system integration from prototype to production.
6. Defence Regulations, Quality & Compliance- Ensure adherence to:
- DO-178C (software)
- DO-254 (hardware)
- MIL-STD-810 (environmental)
- MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC)
- STANAG protocols
- Guide documentation for MoD/DRDO compliance.
7. Leadership & People Management- Lead multi-disciplinary teams across:
- Embedded
- Electronics
- Software
- Mechanical
- Avionics
- Testing & QA
- Build strong execution culture and process discipline.
8. Project & Program Management- PMP or Scrum Master certification preferred.
- Oversee sprint planning, project timelines, risk management, and defence program deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder and customer management (DRDO, PSU, MoD).
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace, Defence Electronics, Embedded Systems, Avionics, Mechatronics, or Computer Science.
- 715 years experience in Defence Electronics, UAVs, Avionics, Embedded Systems, or Mission-Critical Software.
- Experience in MoD tenders, DRDO projects, PSU collaborations, or international defence programs.
