Purpose of the role

As Head of HR Operations, you will lead HR operations across the APAC, partnering closely with the HR Director, HRBPs, outsourced Talent Acquisition and global teams to drive operational improvements, leverage technology for compliance, efficiency and effectiveness, and establish consistent HR standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Own HR Operations & Employee Experience (APAC-wide)

  • Design and lead a consistent HR operations framework across APAC – from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.
  • Ensure our HR processes are simple, leverage technology and aligned with our culture and values.
  • Oversee learning initiatives, administration and reporting.
  • Oversee HR data integrity, employee records and HR systems.

Regional Payroll & Compliance

  • Lead the HR transformation project to one payroll provider across the region.
  • Lead the closure of entities no longer in use (post-merger).
  • Oversee payroll operations across APAC markets together with local teams and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Ensure payroll practices meet compliance requirements in each market.

Lead ongoing management of HR vendors including communication to employees and transfer to one benefit provider in each market.

Lead HR-related change initiatives (HR systems, policy changes, benefits launches) with clear communication and thoughtful change plans.

Design and continually refine onboarding experiences that help new joiners feel connected, clear and set up for success from the point they accept the employment offer.

Lead Regional HR reporting providing regional operational dashboards and role specific internal benchmarking that provide insights to help support decision making.

Oversee global mobility and visa processing and compliance.

Lead HR projects, initiatives and programmes and provide reports detailing progress, risks and issues.

Oversee Health & Safety and security with local teams where HR teams are responsible for offices in local markets.

Lead and Grow the HR Operations Team.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience And Exposure

  • Minimum 10 years experience HR experience across multiple markets with a strong focus on HR Operations and/or HR shared services in multi-country APAC environments.
  • Knowledge of payroll operations, HR compliance and employment regulations across several Asian markets.
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional programmes and change.
  • Experience managing remote regional teams and working in a matrix environment.
  • Comfortable working with HRIS / payroll systems, data and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills.
