Job Description

The Head of HR for the Industrial Business Unit acts as a strategic consultant to senior leadership. They will be responsible for translating business challenges into HR solutions, driving organizational design, leadership development, and cultural transformation. They are the bridge between the BU's operational needs and the broader corporate HR strategy.

We are looking for candidates from the manufacturing industry who have about 10-20 years of HR Business Partnering experience.

Strategic Partnership & Advisory

  • Serve as a member of the BU Leadership Team, contributing to the overall business strategy.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to senior executives on leadership style, team dynamics, and talent decisions.
  • Identify pains within the BU and design bespoke HR interventions to solve them.

Talent Management & Succession

  • Lead the Annual Talent Review and succession planning for critical roles within the unit.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a pipeline of high-quality, diverse candidates that meet the specific technical needs of the BU.
  • Implement high-potential (HiPo) programs to retain and groom future leaders.

Organizational Design & Effectiveness

  • Advise on workforce planning and organizational structures to improve efficiency and agility.
  • Manage the HR budget for the BU, ensuring headcount costs align with revenue/performance targets.
  • Lead Change Management initiatives, specifically during restructuring, M&A, or digital transformations.

Performance & Culture

  • Drive a high-performance culture by ensuring the Performance Management cycle is meaningful, not just a box-ticking exercise.
  • Monitor organizational pulse via engagement surveys and design action plans to improve retention and morale.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives tailored to the BU's specific demographics.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Oversee complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on labor laws and internal policies.
  • Ensure the BU remains compliant with local labor regulations and corporate ethics standards.

Education

  1. B.E./ B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
  2. MBA in Human Resources from a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Institute
