FyneHand is mandated to hire for the position of Site Head – Human Resources (HR)

Our client, a pharmaceutical company and a leading global player in specialty medicines, is seeking to hire a Site Head – HR to be based in Sikkim.

With over 40 manufacturing facilities and a diverse portfolio, our client delivers high-quality medicines across 100 countries. Driven by a commitment to innovation, they continuously strive to enhance access to medicines and improve patient care, creating better health outcomes for millions around the world.

Role Overview: The role will act as a key business partner to the Plant Leadership team and will be responsible for driving HR strategy, industrial relations, statutory compliance, talent management, employee engagement, and site administration in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in plant HR operations, industrial relations, and workforce management within pharmaceutical or manufacturing organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to the Plant Head and leadership team
  • Align HR initiatives with business objectives related to productivity, quality, compliance, and operational excellence
  • Support organizational effectiveness and workforce planning initiatives

Industrial Relations & Employee Relations

  • Manage end-to-end Industrial Relations (IR) activities at the site
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution effectively
  • Lead union negotiations and maintain harmonious employee relations
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management

  • Lead manpower planning and recruitment for manufacturing, production, quality, engineering, and packing functions
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and induction processes for new employees
  • Build talent pipelines for critical manufacturing roles

Statutory Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws, statutory regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Manage contractor labor compliance and vendor coordination
  • Liaise with government labor authorities and external agencies when required
  • Maintain HR documentation and compliance records as per regulatory standards

Performance Management & Capability Building

  • Drive performance management processes, including appraisals and goal setting
  • Identify training needs and implement learning initiatives
  • Ensure training compliance related to GMP, GLP, EHS, and other manufacturing standards
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and capability development

Site Administration

  • Oversee site administration activities including canteen, transportation, housekeeping, security, and employee welfare facilities
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day administrative operations at the plant

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience as Plant HR Head / Site HR Lead / HR Business Partner in a reputed pharmaceutical or manufacturing organization
  • Strong exposure to manufacturing operations and high-compliance environments
  • Experience in handling Industrial Relations and statutory compliance is essential
