Head of Human Resources

We are looking for an experienced HR Leader to build and lead the HR function for an emerging Insurance firm in Mumbai. The role will shape the people strategy, build the organisation, drive culture and talent initiatives, and partner with the leadership team on business and organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.
• Lead organisation design, workforce planning and capability building.
• Partner with the CEO, Board and senior leadership on people-related matters.
• Drive talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development and performance management.
• Build learning and development programs for specialised reinsurance talent.
• Lead culture integration, employee engagement and change management across stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, insurance regulations and governance requirements.
• Design compensation, rewards and incentive frameworks.
• Set up HR operations, HRIS, onboarding processes and HR analytics.

Candidate Profile:

• 15+ years of HR leadership experience in Insurance, Financial Services or other regulated industries.
• Experience in a startup, JV, merger or multi-stakeholder environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of insurance business, regulatory environment and talent landscape.
• Proven experience in organisational transformation, culture building and strategic HR leadership.
• Strong stakeholder, Board management, communication and change leadership skills.
