Job Title: Head of Human Resources

Location: Remote

Department: Human Resources

Reporting To: Founder

About the Role

Bikham Healthcare is seeking a seasoned HR leader who can build, manage, and continuously

strengthen the company's people operations as the organization grows across international

markets.

The Head of HR will be responsible for leading the HR function end-to-end, including talent

acquisition oversight, employee relations, HR policies and compliance, performance

management coordination, and organizational culture development.

This role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-oncapable of building HR

systems and processes in both US and India, while also supporting employees and leadership on

day-to-day people matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in India-based HR operations with exposure to

US hiring, compliance, and global workforce management. The individual will work closely with

the founders and leadership team to ensure that Bikham continues to build a high performance, growth oriented, and positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership & Department Management

Lead and manage the entire HR function for the organization.

Build HR systems that support company growth and international operations.

Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on people strategy and organizational development.

Talent Acquisition Oversight

Oversee the talent acquisition team and ensure efficient hiring processes.

Participate in recruiting senior and specialized roles, including US-based positions.

Ensure the company attracts high-quality talent aligned with the company's culture and

growth plans.

HR Policies, SOPs & Employee Handbook

Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and organizational procedures across departments.

Develop and maintain employee handbooks and HR documentation.

Ensure HR practices remain compliant with India labor regulations and aligned with global

standards and also have basic knowledge of US compliance.

Employee Relations & HR Support

Act as the primary HR point of contact for employees.

Address employee concerns, queries, and workplace issues professionally and fairly.

Foster a workplace culture built on transparency, trust, and communication.

Performance Management Coordination

Work closely with the Performance Management System (PMS) department.

Conduct monthly check-ins and surveys with department heads to assess team performance.

Collect and analyze feedback on employee and departmental performance.

Employee Engagement & Culture Building

Design and implement employee engagement initiatives and programs.

Build initiatives that support a positive, growth-oriented workplace culture.

Introduce programs that enhance employee motivation, satisfaction, and retention.

HR Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with India labor laws and HR best practices.

Maintain structured HR records and documentation.

Support leadership in maintaining a transparent and compliant HR environment.

Required Qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or

related field

MBA in HR or equivalent preferred

Experience

10+ years of experience in Human Resources leadership roles

Strong experience managing HR operations in India

Exposure to US hiring practices and global workforce environments

Experience overseeing recruitment teams and HR systems

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of HR policies, compliance, and organizational development

Experience designing HR SOPs, policies, and employee handbooks

Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational HR work

Strong leadership and team management capabilities
