We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Head of Accounts to lead our accounting function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and leading a team of accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets and financial statements
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Prepare and review tax returns, compliance reports, and statutory filings
- Handle finalization of accounts independently
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including tracking additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Assist in preparation of Tax Audit Reports
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing
- Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10 accountants
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA Inter / ICWA (CMA) qualification preferred
- 6–8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting role
- Strong expertise in account finalization
- In-depth knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and statutory compliance
- Working experience in Tally or ERP-based accounting systems
- Knowledge of Company Law and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
