Mission of the Role
To lead and scale the exports division by building global pipelines, unlocking new international markets, and driving profitable, compliant, and sustainable international growth.
Key Responsibilities
Global Market Strategy
- Build and execute the international expansion roadmap
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-potential countries and channels
Sales & Business Development
- Own the end-to-end international sales lifecycle
- Develop and manage distributor, agent, and strategic partner relationships
Export Operations
- Oversee export logistics, compliance, customs, and documentation
- Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery
Targets & Performance
- Set and achieve aggressive revenue and margin targets
- Define, track, and review KPIs to drive performance
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing exports team
- Create a strong, execution-focused, results-driven culture
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Supply Chain teams
- Support product localization, pricing strategy, and market-specific requirements
Required Experience & Skills
- 10+ years of experience in exports or international business
- Proven track record of building and scaling global markets
- Strong understanding of export regulations, compliance, and documentation
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder handling skills
- FMCG / Food / Retail exports experience strongly preferred
