Lead the entire Engineering Department (Design, Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Engineering Teams).
Set the engineering vision, roadmap, and best practices in alignment with CRA's business and technology goals.
Build and maintain a high-performance, multidisciplinary engineering structure with clear roles, responsibilities, and growth paths.
Drive standardisation across all engineering processes, templates, workflows, and technical documentation.
Own and elevate CRA's mechanical design and engineering outputensuring all deliverables are on time, cost-aligned, production-ready, and compliant.
Work closely with project management, procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth hand-off and execution.
Translate process design into structured engineering deliverables: layout, mechanical, BOM, and compliance
Set and enforce design standards, release workflows, and BOM coordination mechanisms
Oversee simulation, virtual validation, and engineering analysis (e.g., FEA or DFM reviews)
Lead technical troubleshooting and support root cause analysis in manufacturing or site issues
Mentor the team, conduct performance reviews, and define training/upskilling programs
Support commercial teams with inputs for proposals, compliance statements, and client submissions
Spearhead R&D and NPD initiatives to support CRA's product innovation goals.
Apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles to ensure designs are optimised for fabrication, assembly, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.
Work closely with the Production, Operations, and Fabrication teams to ensure engineering plans are practical, scalable, and aligned with production capabilities.
Conduct pre-production design reviews, manufacturability assessments, and joint engineeringproduction validations to eliminate rework and ensure seamless execution.
