Position: Head of Engineering, EPC (Renewables)

Position Summary:
Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering to lead and manage the full spectrum of engineering activities within our EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) division for renewable energy projects. This role will play a critical part in the successful delivery of utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid renewable projects, ensuring best-in-class engineering design, execution, and innovation aligned with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering function across the full project lifecycle from conceptual design, feasibility, detailed engineering, construction support, to commissioning.
- Oversee multi-disciplinary teams including electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical engineering units.
- Collaborate with business development, procurement, construction, and O&M teams to ensure technical compliance and alignment.
- Review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, and project documentation in line with applicable codes (IEC, IEEE, IS, etc.).
- Optimize project designs for cost, performance, and reliability across technologies (solar PV, wind, battery energy storage).
- Interface with key stakeholders including clients, consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement engineering processes, tools, and digital systems for quality and efficiency improvement.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and technical leads.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends in renewable energy engineering.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1215 years of engineering experience in the renewable energy or power sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in EPC/IPP organizations.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale renewable energy projects (100 MW+).
- Strong knowledge of grid interconnection, SCADA, plant control systems, and energy storage systems.
- Familiarity with international standards, permitting processes, and HSE norms in renewable infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., ETAP, PVsyst, AutoCAD, Staad Pro).
Preferred Attributes:
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working in international or multi-regional projects.
- Exposure to hybrid and off-grid systems or green hydrogen will be an added advantage.
- Passionate about sustainability and energy transition.
