Role Overview

We are looking for a Head of Department Solid Wood Manufacturing to lead carpentry, assembly, and machining operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of solid wood manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Manpower Management

• Plan manpower allocation and maintain discipline on the shop floor
• Ensure production targets are met with quality and efficiency
• Oversee carpentry, machining, and assembly operations

Process & Quality Control

• Implement SOPs and ensure process adherence
• Monitor quality standards and reduce rework/rejections
• Coordinate with QC, design, and procurement teams

Infrastructure & Machinery

• Oversee machine maintenance, calibration, and uptime
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety norms

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain production reports, output tracking, and daily updates
• Coordinate with management for planning and resource needs

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Production output vs target
• Manpower utilization
• Rework and rejection rate
• Equipment downtime
• Safety incidents
• Ontime delivery

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field
• Extensive experience in solid wood furniture manufacturing
