Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Department - Fashion Designing, based in Jalandhar. The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to the Fashion Designing department. Responsibilities include developing curriculum, managing day-to-day department operations, mentoring faculty, and encouraging the implementation of innovative teaching methods. The Head of Department will also oversee industry collaboration, maintain academic standards, and foster skill development among students.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Fashion Designing, including knowledge of design principles, pattern making, garment construction, and textile studies.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
• Experience in educational planning, curriculum design, and academic administration.
• Ability to collaborate with industry professionals and develop partnerships for student exposure and growth.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire students and faculty.
• Postgraduate qualification in Fashion Designing or a related field.
• Prior experience in a leadership role within a similar academic or professional environment is advantageous.
• Proficiency in industry-related software and tools is a plus.
