Head of Collections

Key Responsibilities:-

- Develop and implement comprehensive collection strategies to optimize recovery efficiency and reduce bad debts.

- Analyze delinquency patterns, aging trends and payment behaviors to design targeted collection initiatives.

- Lead recovery operations for digital media and corporate clients, ensuring adherence to credit policies.

- Drive process automation and digitization within the collection lifecycle for enhanced performance monitoring.

- Establish assurance mechanisms to ensure accuracy and accountability in collection transactions.

- Collaborate with Finance and Risk teams to strengthen control frameworks and mitigate collection-related risks.

- Lead a high-performing collections team, setting KPIs and monitoring performance outcomes.

- Foster a data-driven and performance-oriented culture.

- Negotiate payment settlements and terms with key clients and external agencies.

- Maintain close coordination with business heads, finance controllers, and legal partners to resolve disputes.

- Represent the collections function in cross-functional leadership meetings and strategic reviews.

- Monthly dashboard & reporting to CFO

Key Skills & Competencies:-

- 10+ years in Collections/Recoveries across Digital/Print Media/Fintech/Auto

- Strong expertise in credit & collections management within media or digital industries.

- Proven track record in optimizing recovery processes and reducing delinquency rates.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

- Strong understanding of financial compliance, audit, and assurance frameworks.

- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
