To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals for the position of Head of Coal, Vedanta Jharsuguda.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To ensure end-to-end coal management with buying and holding the entire coal portfolio for Jharsuguda
• Aligning the coal procurement strategy with business objectives
• Develop the required internal and external coal transportation infrastructure
• Liasoning with MCL, Coal Ministry and other related stakeholders and 100% materialization of linkage rakes
• Identify areas of operational risk and undertake risk mitigation initiatives
• Drive de-bottlenecking across the coal value chain to ensure higher efficiency and cost control
• Ensure clearance of backlog rakes and strategic participation in auctions
• Coal End to End supply chain automation and digitization
• Target zero logistics leakages through improvement in load ability of wagons & timely calibration of weighbridges
• Improvement in Turnaround of rakes
• Ensure volume security for the complex as per rolling planner and maintaining appropriate stock days

Education Qualification | Work-Ex | Desired Attributes

• B.E./ B. Tech in any Stream and M.E./M. Tech/MBA
• 15+ years of experience in SCM/Marketing/Ops
• More than 60% in education background with only 1 yr of education gap either btw 12th & grad or PG can be considered
• Exceptional liasoning and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical, problem- solving and decision-making capabilities
• Knowledge about domestic and international coal markets
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership skills coupled with a change management outlook
