What you'll do
In this role, you'll set the strategic direction for architecture and engineering acrossourCommercial Lending Technology,ensuring our platforms are resilient, scalable and aligned to the bank's long-term objectives.Collaborate with andleadteamsacross multiple disciplinestoshapehow we deliver technology that supports lending products, risk management and client servicing.
You'll Alsobe Responsible For
- Developing and executing a clear architecture and engineering strategy aligned to Commercial Lending priorities
- Leading and developing multiple director-led teams across architecture, engineering, testing, DevOps, infrastructure, data and analysis
- Establishing standardsthatensure security, performance, resilience and regulatory complianceof lending platforms
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to influence technology investment decisions and enterprise-wide transformation
- Driving modern engineering practices, including Agile and DevOps, toacceleratedelivery andenhanceoperational efficiency
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role,you'llbring senior leadership experience across complex technology environments,ideally within the financial services sector, and preferably withincommerciallending.You will bring a strongtrack recordofleadingattheexecutive level and deliveringmeaningful change inanorganisation.
We'll Also Expect You To Have
- Strong experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy and engineering leadership within financial services or similar sectors
- A deep understanding of modern engineering practices, including Agile, DevOps, cloud platforms,testing,data and AI technologies
- Proven ability to lead large, distributed teams and build high-performing leadership communities
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical strategies clearly and confidently
- Sound commercial judgement, including experience managing significant budgets, risk and supplier relationships
