Role Summary
Head – MarTech will be responsible for establishing and scaling the Bank's enterprise Marketing Technology ecosystem. This is a build-and-operate leadership role that combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to enable personalised, data-led customer engagement at scale within a regulated BFSI environment.
The role requires deep understanding of consumer marketing technologies, data-driven marketing, and platform integrations, along with the ability to partner effectively across Marketing, Data, Product, IT, Risk, and Governance teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. MarTech Strategy & Platform Ownership
- Own the end-to-end enterprise MarTech roadmap aligned with business and marketing priorities.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, deployment, integration, and optimisation of MarTech platforms including CRM, CDP, marketing automation, analytics, and consent management tools.
- Act as the single-point owner for MarTech capabilities across products, customer segments, and channels.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of existing platforms and tools such as MoEngage, CleverTap, and similar engagement and campaign platforms.
2. Customer Journeys & Campaign Enablement
- Enable omnichannel, lifecycle-based customer journeys across mobile app, web, email, SMS, paid media, and offline touchpoints.
- Drive advanced segmentation, personalisation, trigger-based campaigns, and automation use cases at scale.
- Improve campaign speed-to-market, effectiveness, and experimentation capabilities across teams.
3. Data, Analytics & Performance
- Partner closely with Data and Analytics teams to ensure clean data pipelines, identity resolution, and reliable activation-ready data.
- Leverage insights and campaign performance data to drive continuous optimisation.
- Champion a structured test-and-learn culture using experimentation frameworks and measurement discipline.
4. Innovation & New-Age Technology
- Evaluate, pilot, and onboard new-age MarTech and AI-led platforms relevant to the BFSI ecosystem.
- Track global MarTech, AI, and digital marketing trends and translate them into scalable, secure, and compliant applications for the Bank.
- Lead pilots, proof-of-concepts, and phased rollouts of new capabilities.
5. Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all MarTech platforms and processes comply with data privacy, consent management, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and IT Security teams to maintain strong governance, audit readiness, and control frameworks.
- Embed privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles into MarTech implementations.
6. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as a key interface across Marketing, Digital, Product, IT, Data, and external agency/technology partners.
- Manage MarTech vendors including SLAs, commercials, performance, and delivery outcomes.
- Guide, mentor, and enable internal teams responsible for MarTech execution and campaigns.
Experience & Skill Requirements
Professional Experience
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in MarTech, digital marketing platforms, CRM, or marketing automation, preferably within BFSI, fintech, consumer internet, or large-scale consumer ecosystems.
- Proven experience building and scaling enterprise MarTech stacks in complex, high-volume environments.
- Experience working within regulated industries with strong exposure to data privacy and compliance requirements.
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of CRM, CDP, marketing automation, analytics, consent management, and customer engagement platforms.
- Hands-on exposure to platforms such as MoEngage, CleverTap, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, or equivalent tools.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, integrations, APIs, and analytics concepts.
- Ability to translate business and marketing needs into technology and platform requirements.
Leadership & Stakeholder Skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and senior leadership.
- Experience managing vendors, partners, budgets, and delivery timelines.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field is mandatory.
- Postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution is preferred.
