JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

The Marketing Excellence Lead plays a pivotal role in elevating the strategic and creative impact of marketing across the organization. This role serves as a catalyst for cross-functional collaboration, driving consistency, effectiveness, and measurable impact across all marketing activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

As part of the Integrated Marketing team, this role is responsible for shaping and institutionalizing best-in-class marketing practices across strategy, execution, and capability development. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, the Marketing Excellence Lead ensures this role ensures that marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives and effectively engage target audiences.

Strategic Leadership & Brand Stewardship

  • Collaborate with brand and cross-functional teams (e.g., Research, Medical, Regulatory, Media & Digital Marketing, Digital Transformation) to shape cohesive brand strategies and narratives.
  • Lead the development of strategic marketing briefs aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify and translate customer insights and market opportunities into actionable brand strategies.
  • Craft compelling brand communications and positioning to enhance visibility and impact.

Marketing Planning & Execution

  • Guide annual brand planning processes in alignment with global frameworks.
  • Ensure storytelling is consistent, audience-relevant, and optimized across all channels.
  • Support deployment and governance of global marketing processes and standards.

Communication Excellence

  • Embed communication excellence through standardized frameworks, templates, and creative guidance.
  • Develop and implement marketing excellence frameworks to elevate brand performance.
  • Foster a culture of consumer and customer centricity across all marketing initiatives.

Systems, Tools & Governance

  • Serve as the global point of contact for marketing systems and tools (e.g., Brand IQ).
  • Oversee the adoption and effective use of global marketing platforms and standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment

  • Manage relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on marketing priorities and deliverables.
  • Act as a key liaison across teams to drive collaboration and shared accountability.

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • MBA or Masters in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field

Work Experience

  • Over 14 years of progressive leadership in strategic marketing, brand management, and integrated communications. Prior exposure to the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, while effectively influencing senior stakeholders across global and affiliate structures.
  • Deep expertise in customer-centric marketing, brand storytelling, and creative strategy development.
  • Demonstrated success in driving marketing excellence and delivering impactful outcomes across diverse brands and markets.
  • A strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to execution and operational discipline.
  • Experienced in navigating complex, matrix global environments and adept at aligning senior leadership around unified marketing strategies & priorities.
