Head Marine Surveyor

Greetings from SYNIGENCE GLOBAL SERVICES,

we are looking for a Head Marine Surveyor to lead our Survey Vertical in Mumbai.

Position: Head Marine Surveyor (H&M, P&I, Cargo)

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of survey experience post sea service

Level: Senior / Head of Vertical

Joining: Immediate / As per availability

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct H&M, P&I, and Cargo surveys independently as per international standards
• Handle vessel condition assessments, cargo damage, and incident investigations
• Attend drydock, pre-purchase, and on-hire/off-hire inspections
• Manage deployment and coordination of surveyors across assignments
• Lead, mentor, and train junior and mid-level surveyors
• Review and finalize survey reports ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Act as technical interface with clients including P&I clubs, underwriters, and shipowners
• Support business development and expand survey operations

Qualifications:

Master (FG) – Preferred

or

Chief Officer (FG) / Chief Engineer (Motor) with strong survey experience

Proven exposure to H&M, P&I, and/or Cargo surveys

Experience in Indian ports/coastal trade preferred

Skills Required:

• Strong technical knowledge across vessel types
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills
• Leadership and team management capabilities
• Client handling and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments
