Ole Overview

The National Head – Digital Banking & Liabilities will lead the digital-first banking strategy for the bank's subsidiary, focusing on scaling CASA, deposits, and customer acquisition through digital channels, partnerships, and embedded finance ecosystems.

This role is accountable for building a high-growth, tech-enabled liability franchise leveraging digital platforms, analytics, and fintech collaborations.

  • Define and execute the digital banking vision for the subsidiary
  • Build and scale mobile-first and web-based banking platforms
  • Drive seamless digital onboarding (eKYC, video KYC, straight-through processing)
  • Lead innovation across AI-led journeys, personalization, and automation. 2. Liabilities Growth (CASA & Deposits)
    • Own end-to-end growth of CASA and term deposits through digital channels
    • Design digital-first savings/current account propositions
    • Drive low-cost deposit acquisition and improve CASA ratio
    • Launch targeted campaigns to increase deposit base and customer stickiness 3. Digital Acquisition & Customer Lifecycle
      • Build scalable digital acquisition funnels (app, web, partnerships)
      • Optimize onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention journeys
      • Leverage data analytics to drive cross-sell and customer lifetime value
      • Improve conversion rates and reduce acquisition cost 4. Partnerships & Embedded Finance
        • Build strategic partnerships with fintechs, NBFCs, marketplaces, and corporates
        • Drive embedded banking (Banking-as-a-Service, API banking)
        • Scale distribution through ecosystem partnerships and co-lending/cross-sell models 5. Product & Platform Management
          • Oversee digital liability products (Savings A/c, Current A/c, FD/RD, wallets)
          • Collaborate with technology, operations, and compliance teams
          • Ensure high uptime, scalability, and customer-centric product design 6. Analytics & Performance Management
            • Build data-driven decision frameworks for acquisition and engagement
            • Track funnel metrics, cohort performance, and campaign effectiveness.
            • Continuously optimize CAC, LTV, and digital channel contribution 7. Risk, Compliance & Governance
              • Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, KYC/AML norms, and data privacy
              • Strengthen fraud prevention and digital risk controls
              • Maintain audit readiness and regulatory adherence 8. Leadership & Team Building
                • Build and lead high-performing teams across digital, product, and liabilities
                • Foster a startup-like, agile, and innovation-driven culture
                • Align teams with aggressive growth and performance goals
                • MBA / PGDM from a reputed institute (preferred)
                • Engineering / Technology background is a plus
                • 15–20+ years in banking, fintech, or digital financial services
                • Strong experience in digital banking and liabilities (CASA/deposits)
                • Proven track record of scaling digital acquisition and partnerships
                • Experience in building or running a digital banking / neo-bank / subsidiary model
                • Digital banking & platform strategy
                • CASA & deposit growth (digital-led)
                • Fintech partnerships & embedded finance
