Responsibilities
Legal & Contract Management:
- Evaluate, and negotiate key hospitality agreements including HMAs, franchise agreements, technical service agreements, leases, procurement contracts, and consulting contracts.
- Review contracts related to procurement, operational design, development, and business development initiatives.
- Ensure commercial alignment and risk mitigation in all agreements.
- Maintain an updated repository of contracts, renewals, amendments, and key obligations
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with hospitality regulations, licensing, statutory requirements, and internal governance standards.
- Monitor compliance obligations under hotel management agreements and commercial contracts.
- Partner with finance, audit, and risk teams to implement governance controls and compliance reporting.
Commercial Optimization & Strategic Advisory
- Provide legal and commercial support to asset management teams for operator performance reviews, financial governance, and commercial renegotiations.
- Support business development activities including new projects, feasibility studies, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Offer insights on legal implications of commercial and operational decisions.
Stakeholder & Operator Management
- Serve as the primary legal interface with hotel operators, brand partners, vendors, and consultants.
- Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms while safeguarding the Group's strategic and financial interests.
- Support resolution of legal and commercial disputes when required.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate legal, commercial, and operational risks across hospitality assets.
- Provide proactive legal counsel to avoid disputes and ensure smooth business operations.
- Guide teams on compliance gaps and corrective actions.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Essential Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LL.B. / LL.M.) and relevant experience in legal, compliance, hospitality, real estate, or asset management.
