Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for IT infrastructure and cyber security in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead and mentor the IT infrastructure and cyber security teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Manage end to end development and growth of talent.
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of IT infrastructure to support business operations.
- Manage vendor relationships for infrastructure-related services and products.
- Drive simplification and automation of processes.
Cyber Security Oversight:
- Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Monitor the security landscape and stay updated on the latest threats and vulnerabilities.
- Lead incident response efforts and manage the resolution of security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Drive simplification and automation of processes.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to IT infrastructure and cyber security.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for IT infrastructure and cyber security initiatives.
- Responsible for Financial management of the team and function.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure the successful implementation of projects and maintenance activities.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement performance monitoring tools and practices to ensure the optimal operation of IT systems.
- Management of metrics and key performance indicators to improve IT operations
- Generate regular reports on infrastructure performance and security posture for senior management.
- Analyse metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cyber security roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven track record of managing complex IT environments and security frameworks.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, server management, cloud services, and virtualization.
- In-depth understanding of cyber security principles, threat landscape, and security technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
